Euro 2016 and The Sweeper’s Summer Plans

It’s all been a little quiet over here at Sweeper Towers as we all take a moment to relax after Jamie Vardy’s MASSIVE party and we buy our Piz Buin (other sun-creams are available) in preparation for the Euro’s, and it seems fitting to shed light on The Sweeper’s footballing summer fun.

Throughout the Euro’s, here at The Sweeper you are going to be able to find our ‘Game of the Day’ or soon to be affectionately known as the GOTD. Each game-day we will be throwing some words against the laptop screen to see what sticks as we write either a preview or a review of a chosen game from the Euro’s. It will be a month of football opinion madness, where we wont just be covering the biggies because we all know Romania vs. Albania will probably turn out to be a right rip-roaring affair!

What makes all this even more exciting is that I am heading off to France myself for a 16 day beano around the South of France. First up landing in Nice just in time for the knock out games to begin, I will actually physically be attending the Round of 16 knock out games at Nice (runner up of the England group vs. the runner up of the Portugal group). After Nice, the Euro crew and I are taking in the sights of Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Lyon before heading off to Marseille for the extravaganza that will be the second semi-final. If our predictions are right and everything goes to plan, it should be France vs. Germany. WHAT A GAME THAT COULD BE.

It also seems a good time now to announce that I’ve recently been made an editor over at Bread and Butter Football! A cracking website is growing faster than Lionel Messi on those hormones and well worth checking out over the summer months for all the latest news. Those lovely guys over at BB Football also think The Sweeper is a bit more than a toilet read for my friends, so you can find all of these ramblings up on their site or on their writer’s academy page!

Normal service will be resumed shortly, and hopefully coming into the next season, I am going to try and scrap some other guys together to help get to you more content, more of the time.

Until the next time, please spread the word and share the love and like the Twitter!
